W. Greaves & Sons・13/16・Near Wedge・Sheffield

Razor being sold on consignment . The razor is in my possesion and ready to ship.

For sale is a vintage W. Greaves & Sons in excellent condition from the early 1800's (1826 - 1850). It was manufactured in Sheffield. The scales are blond horn and look straight. There's no hone wear and there's little to no blemishes. If anything it's hard to find or see. Considering this razor is at least 170+ years old I would say it's in stellar condition.

6/8 (narrow) to 13/16 (widest)

Near Wedge

Barber's Notch

The razor comes as is with whatever edge it was send to me. The razor pops hairs and shaves arm hair effortlessly so for me it's shave ready.

William Greaves was a Straight Razor Manufacturer active by 1780. In 1816 his son joined the company. They started building the first factory in Sheffield 'Sheaf Works' in 1823. The factory was completed and ready in 1826. They sold the firm in 1850 to B.J. Eyre & Company.
