The scales are a faux tortoise acrylic. The razor itself is in immaculate condition as is the black rubber. It has been well taken care off by the looks of it. The toe side of the scales has an internal crack around the pin and a tiny chip on the top but it's not going anywhere and will hold forever regardless. These are amazing shavers that don't show up too often for sale and are sought after by straight razor users and collectors.

Filarmonica - The company started manufacturing straight razors in 1915 in the city of Mataró, province of Barcelona. They are considered as one of the best manufacturers of cutlery, knifes and razors. About 25+ years ago the company shut down all operations and closed their doors.
