I am selling several vintage razors from a collector in Switzerland.
This is a B&B LE Le Grelot, Thiers Issard, France with Pink Ivory hardwood scales.(Badger & Blade Limited Edition) 
This was a limited edition group buy from Badger & Blade in 2008.
The razor is in stellar condition.
Razor opens and centers perfectly between the scales.
It's a 6/8, 1/4 hollow in full mirror polish.
Scales are Pink Ivory (Berchemia Zeyheri) also known as Red Ivorywood. Reputed to be a scarce commodity, Pink Ivory is typically very expensive, usually on par with Gaboon Ebony: another pricey African import. It originates from South Africa.
 
Thiers-Issard was founded in 1884 by Pierre Thiers who was born in 1860 and died in 1929. Pierre Thiers had an extraordinay reputation for being a skillful blacksmith, his items-especially the hand razors were of very high quality. When he created his own company, he attached his wife's name in order to avoid confusions with the other Thiers families. Mrs Pierre Thiers ran the company and was soon helped by her son, Pierre Thiers (1884-1962), and a few years later by Louis (1910-1985) and Pierre Thiers (1914-1997). Philippe Thiers was the last successor who sold the factory to Gilles Reynewaeter in 1985.
 
The Grelot round shape razor was created by Hospital Company (Thiers) in the 1910s for easier handling.
