For sale is a gorgeous, authentic vintage J.A. Henckels straight razor from the Twinworks era, made in Solingen, Germany. The “Torpedo” Reg. US Pat Off. was a trademarked product manufactured by J.A. Henckels specifically for the United States market. The razor blank looks identical to the renowned 415 model, distinguished by its distinctive red paint, cracked ice scales adorned with bolsters.
 
The seller successfully located the original scales, enabling me to thoroughly clean the pivot area and pair the razor back to the original scales.
 
There's no rust or disturbing stains, even around the pivot area. Overall the razor looks splendid. Razor will come shave ready.

The company's history dates back to 1731 when Peter Henckels registered the "Twins" logo with the Solingen Cutlers' Guild. While the company has a long history, the specific "Twin Works" razors are often considered vintage, with many examples dating to 1968.
