The King Cutter guarantees a royal start to your day. A true classic in the Boker lineup, since the beginning of the 20th century.
With the practical 5/8 blade, it is the ideal razor for use every morning. They are being sold as 5/8 however I measured them to be 11/16. The King Cutter is easy to handle, provides excellent shaving results and is also suitable for less experienced straight razor users. It's made in Solingen, Germany from carbon steel with a nice bellied hollow grind.
The razor is available in 3 versions, for your choice of handle material. Comes in a black Boker card box to safely store your razor.
The classic King Cutter with black synthetic scales is the top selling straight razor from Boker. It features a fine Boker tree inlay, made from nickel silver. The scales are moisture resistant. Jimps are present both on the top and bottom of the tang. Equally there is a white and faux horn scaled version that features a gold-wash etching but is harder to find in the USA. The faux horn model named Boker Original King Cutter corresponds precisely to a model from days long gone. Additionally it comes with a third pin.
These are all affordable and excellent razors for beginners or seasoned straight razor users that take a fine edge when properly honed. Boker razors come standard with a factory edge but are nowhere near a true professionally honed razor's edge. I advise you to either purchase the razor from a reputable store that sells the razor as 'shave ready' or you can order a honing service straight from my web site to have it professionally honed/sharpened especially if you are starting out with your first straight razor shave.
